So we all know that overheating in AA sucks, but fear not, there are ways to avoid the big H screen.
AA has two heat meters:
-A visible Heat meter at the bottom right corner, which can be adjust through your Tech stat, chassis & power plant Max & Dessipation Heat stats.
Coolant Flush consumables also reduce this Heat buildup.
-A hidden Residual Heat meter that fills up with every time you overheat. This meter is not affected by any of the above stat variables (not any we know of at least).
You can notice that you overheat much quickly after a while of playing in the same zone due to this meter.
Rezoning resets all Heat meters.
During combat, using Coolant Flushes can eliminate the Visible Heat, but to avoid the constant build-up there is a simple from-the-Arcade-days trick:
Repeated-short-strokes-button-bashing!
I have used this method to level my main without using a single Coolant. Apparently, clicking/pushing Fire button on and off gives a millisecond of dissipation for the Heat. This tedious approach works best when you are short on Coolants and trying desperately to kill a Human/Mutie without the Heat kicking in.
Hope this helps, and feel free to add your feedback |
