Dropped in to sign up and say a few words.
SONIX members are not so apt at using the Alliance tools available to us yet, hence our absence on the ventrilo system.
MOst of us barely kno how to operate a vending console and often resort to physical violence when they don't work.
So setting up a vent client can seem a bit daunting to some
HAving said that, we are working on getting more members to use the vent system.
Cya on the frontlines. |

Welcome again!
True enough, the Ventrilo is a valuable tool to use, and we realize that (especially in PvP).
The DDs have been pretty lenient about enforcing this tool for few reasons:
-some prefer to maintain privacy
-some don't have the bandwidth to maintain a smooth client with Vent
-some prefer to listen to Music
-some split attention with kids or wife around (I'm guilty of the last part)
But as we enter GZ from now on it WILL have to be enforced. I'll make sure it is known amongst our clanmates.

I manage to listen to music and sometimes even catch what people are chatting about
Vent does help a shed load when in GZ, and even more so when your doing a tower run or similar. |

| I know from experiance how useful TS/Vent is and i think the enforcement should have been put in as soon as possibile. Even people that don't get on any voIP due to privacy or personal concerns, i knew quite a few that were shy-ish at the beggining but after a while they became key "assets" and actually enjoyed themselves. But meh.. i can barely catch 3-4 people from DD online when i play, not even mentioning Vent. Anyhow atm i'm 63ish so i doubt i can be of much use beyond beeing meat for the grinder. |

| Actually I think being on vent is good anytime not just for PvP. With the problem of typing, reading through all the system messages while playing it is a little hard to get that clan community flowing. I think using vent even just for general conversation helps tie the clan together. |

I agree with all mentioned above.
And to set a good example I will get back to Vent whenever possible. Personally, we've had 20+ Vent rooms few months ago in the heyday of PvP, and I've had it enforced as a clan rule.
If I can get a confirmation from all the current DD players, we can reinstate this rule again.
I will run a Poll for that purpose, for a week.
